Fellow artists...

I recently went to a seminar organised by Craft Central (http://www.craftcentral.org.uk/) focused on social networking.  I now realise how important it is to blog and tweet! even if i do feel out of my depth and am actually not sure what to write!  I spent my day off attempting to promote my website (pinkladyjewellery.com), get the hang of twitter (@pinkladyjewel) and tried to understand how to get my blog out there! but I'm still not sure if anything I have achieved has worked!  It used to be the case that facebook and twitter were seen as skiving but now they are brilliant business and networking tools!  I hope I can keep it up as it seems very time consuming.

At the seminar I met some fellow artists...

Marsha Oza is the creator of 'close your eyes and hold out your hand'
http://www.holdoutyourhand.co.uk/

I love the name of this company, instantly you are taken to the world of imagination and creativity just by the title.  I think with this she is able to draw in her audience in such a wonderful way.  Such a brilliant name! Wish I'd thought of it ;o)

As a fellow jewellery designer it is nice to know that there are other self taught artists out there.

Her products are also available to buy on http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/closeyoureyesholdoutyourhand

Ariane Hofmann-Maniyar is a photographer and illustrator. Her website is http://www.arihoma.com/
I love the photography on this site.  I love taking photos but the talent ariane has at capturing the moment is breath taking!  Her wild life photography is amazing.

My personal favorite is this one:

As the viewer i feel like I'm crouching down peering into the peacocks feathers!  I love the colours it is just such a beautiful shot!

I did meet some other very talented people at the seminar but i couldn't remember all their names!  So that is all for now.
